Burgoo

My barkada loves loves loves Burgoo! It is our restaurant of choice. :) Ayn was home last week so we decided to have dinner at Burgoo Rockwell. Side Sampler courtesy of Lorenz! Lo decided to treat us this particular dish to 'celebrate' his signing of new contract. Haha. I only like the Mozzarella Sticks and Buffalo Wings. The others were not so good. I particularly didn't like the Sta. Fe Spring Rolls. The Side Sampler comes with 3 different sauces. One for the Sta. Fe Spring Rolls, one for the Mozzarella Sticks and one for the Buffalo Wings. Seafood Jambalaya. I love this dish! This is a more moist Paella. They always cook it so perfectly with just the right amount of spices. I notice, though, that the serving is getting smaller and smaller. Shrimps and Ribs. This was quite good. The Ribs were tender and flavorful. The Shrimps were crispy but a little too oily for my taste. It comes with two side dishes. I almost always go for Potato Wedges and Coleslaw but in this case, ...

Terrasse by Carte Blanche

I went with Mommy to Celebrity Sports Club because Jantzen, Camille and Justin went there to swim. Mom said the club has new restaurants that were good so we decided to dine there. The poolside restaurant is called 'Terrasse'. Pumpkin Soup. I didn't like this at all! It was too salty though at least it was thick. Mom ordered a Chicken Salad Sandwich which came with a side order of French Fries. The sandwich was okay but the fries were really good! Very crunchy and were seasoned just right. I ordered Cheeseburger with Fries. The taste was okay, I guess; but I felt like barfing after eating it. Hehe. Turon with Mango Sauce. This was positively delicious! It has been a while since I've eaten a Turon so this was heavenly. The Mango Sauce was a perfect match for it. :)

Jollibee VS McDonald's

I have always preferred McDonald's burgers to Jollibee's because of the taste of the beef. However, when it comes to breakfast, I believe that in terms of price and taste, Jollibee takes the cake. The Longganisa Meal Costs around Php60-70+, including drinks. It's a very filling meal and what's more, it's delicious! On the other hand, the Sausage Egg McMuffin Meal costs Php70-80+ already and it doesn't even include the Hash Brown. The total amount I paid for this meal was more than Php100. Not worth it considering how small the sandwich is. Just including a picture of my little Taylor! He was sleeping on top of the clothes we're sorting out for our garage sale. :D He's so adorable!

Resto C

On our way back to Manila, we passed by Resto C for lunch. They pioneered the Pizza Roll-Ups with Alfalfa Sprouts and Arugula. As you go inside, you will notice plates that have been signed by celebrities who have dined there. Mikee Cojuangco. Gloria Diaz. Jericho Rosales!!! :D Gerald Anderson, my love. :p Papa Piolo Pascual! Gary Valenciano. Here's the cover of their menu. Pesto with Warm Breads. Free! I love how they serve their bread warm. They charge for additional orders of this. Pizza Charmaine. This pizza has capers on it that makes it salty. It was good but the saltiness should be regulated. Arugula. They didn't have Alfalfa Sprouts that day. Boo. The Arugula made up for it though. Pizza Kristina. This one's good! It is sort of like a Margherita Pizza. Pumpkin Soup. Delicious! It was thick and flavourful. I suspect they put some Coconut Milk in it. Seafood Pasta. It was good! The seafood was fresh and juicy. Gambas. This was okay. I'd like the shrimps to be bigg...

Ineng's BBQ

The timelines of my posts are a little hazy! Haha. When we arrive in Manila, we decided to stop by Ineng's for dinner because our maid was still on vacation so there wasn't any food in the house. Mom, Ats and Jantzen ordering for us. Free Soup! Very flavourful but I think they put MSG. 2 sticks of BBQ. The serving is huge and the BBQ is good. This ranks second after my mom's. My mom ordered the smaller one because she can't finish the one on top. Tastes the same, just a smaller version! Laing. Good but I didn't eat that much of it! Hehe. Overall, the price and quality of their food is great! This is good after a long and tiring day in the office.

S&R Pizza

There was a new Pure Gold Duty Free in Subic. I think they partnered with S&R in Manila for their goods because some of the price tags are still S&R. Their food service is the same as well. Jantzen and Justin horsing around while ordering! Drinks at Php39. These are not refillable like the S&R in Manila. It's Php40 cheaper. Combo Pizza, one whole at Php 300-500+. Huge and very good!

Giusie's

I saw Giusie's huge banner while driving around Subic and suggested it to my family. Giusie's simple laminated menu. Camille ordered a bottle of San Mig Light. We were suppose to share but I didn't want to drink that night. Calamares. Nothing to rave about. Pasta Carbonara. Very milky and the Penne was cooked al dente. Fish and Fries. They used Cream Dory for this dish. It was served hot so I liked it. Mom gave it two thumbs up! Longganisa Meal. Cam ordered this. It was good! Bleu Cheese Burger. I was disappointed with this. The Bleu Cheese wasn't able to compliment the taste of the beef. Blue Marlin Steak on Garlic Rice. This wasn't good at all. It arrived late and it was already cold! Overall, I was disappointed by their quality of food. Coco Lime is still a better choice in Subic!
