Christmas is Around the Corner

I've been marking my calendar with X's since mid-November. 17 days to go before my trip back home to Manila!! I really miss everyone, especially my little Chihuahua, Taylor. I saw him through the webcam the other day and I just wanted to kiss and hug him! It's been almost 4 month since I have last held him. Can't wait to see him!

Anyway, I've been shopping like crazy these past 2 weeks! There was the Robinsons and John Little Christmas sales in Expo the last 2 weeks of November. I bought so much stuff! I also discovered this delicious snack called Cheese Garlic Bread (will post pics later.)! They were selling them for S$1 per pack so of course I had to buy a lot! Haha. I bought like 20+ packs so I can bring some home for my family as well. Charles and Keith items were going as low as S$12+ per pair. I was lucky enough to find a pair of gold sparkly shoes that fit me! I bought them for S$23.00. I was also able to buy some bags for S$19-29.00. The sales were really really huge with so many people lining up for the cashier. We even missed the Sunday mass because of the line! Boo.

I have started packing my things already. Because of my shopping sprees, my luggage is now too small for everything! I have to use the box that I brought my stuff in from Nanila. Hehe. Ironic, isn't it? My mom sent me this box bag because Ate Kleng told me that they have had experiences wherein their box would have holes in them when they arrive and some stuff inside were stolen. Hopefully, the box bag will solve this problem. My only problem now is making sure that my box would not exceed the weight allowance of the plane.

SO there, just some updates. Hope to be able to write more soon! XOXO!

Hospital Cheat Sheets

Hello mommies! Sorry I have been busy trying to balance spending quality time with my baby, the pastry shop @joaniescupcakes and our newly launched online store, Petit Bébé PH.  Check out our IG and FB pages if you have time, @petitbebeph. 😍 Anyway, a lot as been asking about the hospital lists that I made for my delivery so here they are! As some of you might know, I am quite OC about paperwork and I have no pain tolerance so I really wanted to make sure that my doctors did not miss anything about my medical history. I was also confined 3x during my pregnancy. This is why I wanted to make sure that my list is detailed so we could avoid mistakes. Information Sheet This is the information sheet that I made. I consulted my OB prior to my delivery about the things that will be asked during check in/ labor. The text is RED are things you need to fill out on the way to the hospital as you might not have enough time to print them when you start contracting. Birth Plan ...

Eating at Home

Reg and I have been trying to lose weight to better control our sugar intake. We ate out a lot when I was still pregnant so he gained "pregnancy pounds" as well. Haha! I have been going to the supermarket to buy 3 weeks worth of dinners the past 2 months and I have been making weekly menu plans to help us achieve our goal. Honestly, I have always felt lazy to do this menu because the meats available at the grocery varies every week. I tend to buy what looks good so I can't stick to 1 set of menu come marketing time. First, let's start with the supermarket. We are closer to Unimart Greenhills but I feel that prices there are higher and there are times when their stock delivery is delayed. I always end up not being able to buy everything that I need. In order for this menu planning to succeed, I now go to my trusty Landmark Supermarket in Trinoma. I used to shop there when I was still single but I stopped going when I moved after getting married because I hated the ...

Giving Up

There are things in life that makes you want to give up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not currently depressed. 😅 I was out with my mom the other day and chanced upon a dance store. For some reason, I always try to look for a white tutu even when I don't plan to buy one. You see, when I was in Prep-1, I joined a dance program in school. The teacher told us to bring white tutus and white ballet shoes. My parents and I scoured many SM Department Stores but all we could find were pink tutus and shoes. Remember that this was in the 90's so there were limited malls in Metro Manila. The usual next step is to go back to school and tell my teacher that it was impossible to find one, right? Well, that's what all of my classmates did. My parents? Impossible was (and still is) not in their vocabulary. My mom designed and sewed an all-white ballet ensemble just for me! I was the only one who came to class with what the teacher asked us to bring. Everyone else brought pink. And even ...
