Mom and Satchi's Trip to SG

My mother and younger sister, Camille, came here two (2) weeks ago for a whole week! We had a lot of fun!! Here are some pictures we took. We ate so much! I think I gained a lot of lbs that week. Haha.

This was taken at Victoria Street on the way to the marketplace area. This reminded me of Paris! It was beautiful!

After a very tiring morning, we decided to go to Blue Mountain Coffee at Iluma for late lunch. The ambiance was beautiful! As for the service, at first, the server came in too strong. I didn't know if she was angry or if that was really how she speaks. As the meal progressed, I just figured that's her accent and just let it go.

We ordered one of the set lunches, which costs around S$12++, if I am not mistaken. It comes with a free soup and dessert. This was Shrimp Bisque. The taste was good but the soup was a little bit too watery.

This was also part of the set meal. The pizza was nice and crispy!

Mommy was craving for Baby Back Ribs so we also ordered one. I can't remember how much this is but I think it was around S$19++. This was worth the money! The ribs were meaty and they fell off the bones. The only thing about this that I did not like was that I think this was boiled then smothered with BBQ sauce. It still tasted great though.

Fatty and sinful! Haha. I was disappointed with their Strawberry Milk Shake because it was too thin. It has a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream inside but it did not make up for its thin consistency. This costs around S$7++. Burgoo's Strawberry Milk Shake is stiil better.

Camille ordered this Rib-Eye Steak which came with Mashed Potato. This costs around S$32++, which is kind of expensive. This was delicious though! It was cooked to perfection and the Mashed Potato was also good.

This was how our plates looked like after 40 minutes! Hahaha.

Satch and her pizza!

Our free dessert was a scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream! We were also given chilled spoons which were a nice touch.

Satch and her "I Love SG" shirt. She collects "I Love ____" shirts and loves to wear them on her trips!

In the evening, we met up with Ayn, Kuya Mon, Ate Kleng and Kelsey for Dinner at Century Village. It's located somewhere in Tanah Merah, but you still have to take the bus or cab to go there.

There, I took a picture of their wet towel!

We ordered their specialty, Fish Steamboat. The fish we ordered was Lapu-Lapu. The broth was delicious!! The fish was fresh. They even refill the soup for free.

We also ordered the Mixed Fried Rice. The egg and shrimp in this mix make it unforgettable!

Mommy ordered this Beancurd dish as well. This was cooked very well and was one of my favorites!

Orange juice all around! Pure Orange Juice with minimal sugar. This made me crave for more the next day.

After our meal in No Signboard, Camille got addicted to the Cereal Prawns so we ordered some again here. Their prawns were too small for me and the heads were not crispy enough to be eaten.

Chili Crabs with Mantou! I didn't eat any crabs that night but we reheated the leftovers the next night and they were so delicious! The crabs were also full of meat and sweet. I recommend this dish!
Overall, I enjoyed our dinner in Century Village. I spent around S$150 for everything but it was worth it!

We also went to Ikea that week. We had dinner at its cafeteria because I wanted them to try Ikea's food.

As usual, I ordered the Roasted Chicken with Coleslaw! Cam had this too! The chicken was soft and it falls off the bones. This costs S$7.50, I think.

Mom ordered Chicken Wings! I think the marinate of these wings is similar to what we are doing at home. The difference is just that they are big and juicy. This was S$7-7.50 too.

So there! Will post more pictures because I'm getting sleepy already! Haha. Goodnight! :)

Hospital Cheat Sheets

Hello mommies! Sorry I have been busy trying to balance spending quality time with my baby, the pastry shop @joaniescupcakes and our newly launched online store, Petit Bébé PH.  Check out our IG and FB pages if you have time, @petitbebeph. 😍 Anyway, a lot as been asking about the hospital lists that I made for my delivery so here they are! As some of you might know, I am quite OC about paperwork and I have no pain tolerance so I really wanted to make sure that my doctors did not miss anything about my medical history. I was also confined 3x during my pregnancy. This is why I wanted to make sure that my list is detailed so we could avoid mistakes. Information Sheet This is the information sheet that I made. I consulted my OB prior to my delivery about the things that will be asked during check in/ labor. The text is RED are things you need to fill out on the way to the hospital as you might not have enough time to print them when you start contracting. Birth Plan My s

Eating at Home

Reg and I have been trying to lose weight to better control our sugar intake. We ate out a lot when I was still pregnant so he gained "pregnancy pounds" as well. Haha! I have been going to the supermarket to buy 3 weeks worth of dinners the past 2 months and I have been making weekly menu plans to help us achieve our goal. Honestly, I have always felt lazy to do this menu because the meats available at the grocery varies every week. I tend to buy what looks good so I can't stick to 1 set of menu come marketing time. First, let's start with the supermarket. We are closer to Unimart Greenhills but I feel that prices there are higher and there are times when their stock delivery is delayed. I always end up not being able to buy everything that I need. In order for this menu planning to succeed, I now go to my trusty Landmark Supermarket in Trinoma. I used to shop there when I was still single but I stopped going when I moved after getting married because I hated the

Hospital Packing List

I’m an OC person when it comes to packing. I love checklists! When I was at home on bedrest, I had plenty of time to get ready for the delivery. I didn’t want to go to the hospital with incomplete things so I started researching online and mommy blogs on what to pack when D-day comes. I made this list 3 months before my due date. I was paranoid because I had 3 hospital confinements during my pregnancy. I wanted to make sure that everything was ready.  When my OB told me that I was being induced on my 37th week, I made sure I ran through everything with my husband and our nanny. I have very low pain tolerance so I didn’t want them asking me where everything was when I was recovering! 😂 I divided the list into 3 categories: Mommy Daddy Baby I had to make sure my husband had an extra pillow and blanket so his back wouldn’t hurt from sleeping in the couch. I was expecting us to stay longer than normal as I was being induced. He needed to be in tiptop shape for our baby gi
