Happy Cream Puffs

I read about this place from another blog and was so happy that my colleagues know about this place! Apparently, it's very near our office. :) Their box is simple but elegant. There is a stamped date of when the products should be consumed. They offer different kinds of Cream Puffs! The cream inside has real Vanilla Beans that, I swear, you can taste. Haha. They have a lot of variants but I mostly stick with the Chocolate covered ones or the Caramel glazed. Real Vanilla Beans! They smell fantastic! A box of like this costs around P190. Not bad! Overall, a must! They are located in Malugay Street in Makati. :)

Classic Confections

Mom, Camille and I went to GB5 after visiting New World Hotel for an event. We wanted something sweet so we headed to Classic Confections for a slice or two of cake. They have a huge variety of cakes and pastries. They are very pricey though. One small cake costs around P250! They also sell cookies and such. The cookies look cute! Lemon Something Cake. I didn't like this that much. The icing was much too sweet and it can use more lemon-y taste. Chocolate Something Cake. Sorry, I have totally forgotten the name if these cakes! Haha. This one tastes good. The sides were covered with some sort of crushed toffee and the cake inside was moist. It was also too sweet though. Italian Soda. My mom really liked this. It's made out of Club Soda and Syrup. Overall, Classic Confections is a nice place to visit if you have a craving for sweets. However, considering their prices, you can just head over to Burgoo for their Cheesecake.

Causeway Seafood Restaurant

When it comes to Dimsum, nothing can beat Causeway in my book! This has been a family favorite for years and the 40% discount in Banawe from 9PM onwards doesn't hurt either. Haha. Red Bean Soup. Spareribs with Tausi. Hakao. Seafood Roll. Chicken Feet. Raddish Cake. Sharksfin Dumpling. Overall, a definite must! Delicious Dimsum at very affordable prices. :)

Chocolate Kiss

This has been long overdue but I met up with Nina, Lo and Dall in Chocolate Kiss at Chino Roces last April. The last time I've been to this restaurant was way back when we were still in college and in their original location in UP Diliman. Their menu is triangular in shape to probably give a 'Hershey's Kiss' look. Haha. Chicken Strips. This was good. Crunchy at the outside and tender inside. Served with Tartar Sauce that I believe can be improved. Spinach Fettucine with Marinara Sauce. This was a total failure! I didn't like the taste at all. The sauce tasted weird. Hamburger with Fries. This was a bit good but it was nothing special. Lasagna. Very yummy! Blueberry Cheesecake. A bit too pricey for the price and it wasn't able to capture Burgoo's thickness. Devil's Food Cake. Very disappointing. The Meringue was too sweet and the cake was dry. Our very grainy/ edited picture! Haha. It was dark out and we only had my phone camera so we had no choice! Overa

Pancake House

I had Sunday breakfast with my mom and brother after going to the market. :) Pancake was their choice for breakfast, so we went to their Q. Ave. branch. :) Their huge menu! I believe this is their Continental Breakfast. My mom usually orders this whenever we eat breakfast. It consists of Sausages, White Bread with Butter, Hashbrown and your choice of eggs. Longganisa Breakfast. My brother ordered this with the side of Vienna sausages below. I love their Atchara (Picked Papaya). Bacon Waffle! My absolute favorite waffle, except for the Chocolate one in SG. Hehe. It was crispy with just the right amount of saltiness from the bacon. Yummy! I think is this from a separate meal already. Haha. I believe I was with Justin this time because he's the only consistent person I know to order Blueberry Pancakes everytime we are in Pancake House. Blueberry Preserve oozing out of the pancakes! This is served with Blueberry Syrup and Whipped Butter. Cornedbeef Breakfast. I think my Dad ordered thi

Candy's in CDO

I went to Camiguin with my new officemates earlier this month and had a stopover in CDO before heading back to Manila. Those of us who opted not to go White Water Rafting had lunch at Candy's instead. :) Candy's reminds me of Cibo and Cyma combined. It serves mostly Italian food with a delicious selection of salad and Asian rice toppings. Ana with her frosty, ice-cold San Mig Light! They have an assortment of cakes and pastries. Their salad was delicious! It was very much like Cyma's Roka Salata. Crispy Cheese Pizza! This was fabulous. The crust just had a good crunch and the melted cheese was to die for! Baby Back Ribs. I can't remember whether or not I have tasted this but it looks darn good from the picture. Haha. I forgot the real name of this dessert! Basically, it's Chocolate-covered Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and Nuts inside. Looks good but the looks exceeds the taste. The Chocolate covering was good though. Overall, I enjoyed Candy's. It was

Burgoo

My barkada loves loves loves Burgoo! It is our restaurant of choice. :) Ayn was home last week so we decided to have dinner at Burgoo Rockwell. Side Sampler courtesy of Lorenz! Lo decided to treat us this particular dish to 'celebrate' his signing of new contract. Haha. I only like the Mozzarella Sticks and Buffalo Wings. The others were not so good. I particularly didn't like the Sta. Fe Spring Rolls. The Side Sampler comes with 3 different sauces. One for the Sta. Fe Spring Rolls, one for the Mozzarella Sticks and one for the Buffalo Wings. Seafood Jambalaya. I love this dish! This is a more moist Paella. They always cook it so perfectly with just the right amount of spices. I notice, though, that the serving is getting smaller and smaller. Shrimps and Ribs. This was quite good. The Ribs were tender and flavorful. The Shrimps were crispy but a little too oily for my taste. It comes with two side dishes. I almost always go for Potato Wedges and Coleslaw but in this case,
