Christmas is Around the Corner

I've been marking my calendar with X's since mid-November. 17 days to go before my trip back home to Manila!! I really miss everyone, especially my little Chihuahua, Taylor. I saw him through the webcam the other day and I just wanted to kiss and hug him! It's been almost 4 month since I have last held him. Can't wait to see him! Anyway, I've been shopping like crazy these past 2 weeks! There was the Robinsons and John Little Christmas sales in Expo the last 2 weeks of November. I bought so much stuff! I also discovered this delicious snack called Cheese Garlic Bread (will post pics later.)! They were selling them for S$1 per pack so of course I had to buy a lot! Haha. I bought like 20+ packs so I can bring some home for my family as well. Charles and Keith items were going as low as S$12+ per pair. I was lucky enough to find a pair of gold sparkly shoes that fit me! I bought them for S$23.00. I was also able to buy some bags for S$19-29.00. The sales were really re

Mom and Satchi's Trip to SG

My mother and younger sister, Camille, came here two (2) weeks ago for a whole week! We had a lot of fun!! Here are some pictures we took. We ate so much! I think I gained a lot of lbs that week. Haha. This was taken at Victoria Street on the way to the marketplace area. This reminded me of Paris! It was beautiful! After a very tiring morning, we decided to go to Blue Mountain Coffee at Iluma for late lunch. The ambiance was beautiful! As for the service, at first, the server came in too strong. I didn't know if she was angry or if that was really how she speaks. As the meal progressed, I just figured that's her accent and just let it go. We ordered one of the set lunches, which costs around S$12++, if I am not mistaken. It comes with a free soup and dessert. This was Shrimp Bisque. The taste was good but the soup was a little bit too watery. This was also part of the set meal. The pizza was nice and crispy! Mommy was craving for Baby Back Ribs so we also ordered one. I can'

Day with the Titas!

What a day! I had a very busy day because Ayn's mother and aunt are here. I met them at the Cityhall MRT because they left the house so early and I wanted to sleep some more. Anyway, we went to Chinatown, walked around the shops. We also had lunch at Maxwell, it's a nice but a little bit dirty hawker's place. It was starting to rain so we waited it out there. After eating, we rode the bus going to Vivo City because they wanted to watch the Songs of the Sea at Sentosa. We also went to Daiso because it's Daiso! Haha. In fairness to me, I was able to control myself today and was only bought two (2) items! I bought a small desktop Christmas tree and an easy-bake chocolate chip cookie mix! Anyway, here are some pictures from our adventures today! We passed by a Hindu temple on the way to Maxell. I love the make of the building and the aura it projects. Since I still can't eat rice today, I requested the auntie in the chicken rice stall to give me extra veggies instead! I

Christmas and Rainy Days

I've been so busy last week that I wasn't able to update my blog anymore! My mom and sister were here to visit me and to go with me to the doctor to have a pesky lump looked at. I swear, my hormones are in total action-mode as I've been having problems with lumps and cysts this year. Anyway, the doctor said that it has to be removed in order to know whether or not it has bad cells. I went to KK Women and Children's Hospital; which I must say is really really nice. The hospital can be compared to Medical City. Considering that KK is owned by the government, I couldn't help but think where the heck our taxes are going. Going back, the hospital concierge considered my lump as an Aesthetic Surgery so they referred me to a plastic surgeon. Yes, the ones that do face lifts. Haha. The surgery would cost roughly S$600 (Php 19,800), which is reasonable enough. My mom wanted to have it done right then and there because it's an outpatient operation and the doctor was avail

New Things

Things have been getting hectic in the office. I'm now in the process of getting speakers for my conference and it's quite hard considering that they are not getting paid and would have to fly into the conference. The boss is getting more demanding as time goes, which according to my officemates, is just going to get worst. Haha. Hopefully, I'll be able to handle the pressure. I've been wanting to post entries last week but I just wanted to climb to bed whenever I get home. Hehe. This was what Ayn and I ate last Sunday at Giant. We did the week's grocery shopping there and finished around 9PM. We were starving, so we decided to just have dinner there. After I did my rounds at the food court, I finally settled on this Char Siew Wonton Noodles, which costs around S$3.50. It was very good! Maybe it was because I was so hungry. Hehe. It came with a free bowl of soup, which was good for the empty stomach. The noodles were firm with a bite, the char siew was good but a bi

First Day at Work

My day started at 7:00AM when my alarm rang! Haha Even though I slept at 11:30PM, I was still so sleepy. After showering, I hurried up and made a chicken sandwich and since I was running late, I wasn't able to put make-up anymore. I reached the office at 8:59AM! Talk about beating the clock. Haha. Anyway, had a busy day. I went through intensive training today and started research on a new topic assigned to me. According to another Filipina Conference Producer there, the work is really stressful! It's kind of scary but hopefully I'll be able to do it right! Will post some pictures of my office when I get the chance. :) I went to Bugis last Saturday with Ayn and Les because Les' sister is here with her friend. We ate at the hawker center at Bugis Street. We had Chilli Crab with Mantou (fried bread). So there, I'm super tired already! Will be going to bed soon. Goodnight!
