I went to Aljunied to get the results of my blood test and chest x-ray for the completion of the application of my work pass and when I reached the office to submit them, my boss was not in! According to the receptionist, he won't be back for a couple of days. Boohoo! I was really looking forward to starting this week. I tried calling him but couldn't get an answer, so I sent him an SMS instead. I did not get a reply but hopefully he'll give me one tomorrow.
I've been in Singapore for a little more than a month now and I still have not started to move and exercise. It's not that I had no opportunities to do so because there's an oval track below our building and I had plenty of time while looking for work. It's just plain old laziness! Haha. Ayn and I have been saying that we'd start dieting but it's only today that we really did start. We're going on the 7-day diet, guaranteed to make one lose 8-9 lbs. in a week.
Basically, this is how the 7-day diet works:
Day 1: All the fruit you can eat except banana.
Day 2: All the vegetables you can eat. You can use soy sauce, vinegar or mustard.
Day 3: All the fruit & vegetables you can eat.
Day 4: 5 bananas with 5 glasses of milk
Day 5: 4 3 oz. of beef/chicken or fish steaks with fresh vegetables
Day 6: 4 3 oz. beef steaks with fresh vegetables
Day 7: 4 3 oz. beef steaks with fresh vegetables
So today, I ate a pear for breakfast, watermelon juice (without sugar) for lunch, mango shake with a little syrup (without milk) and a mandarin orange for snacks, and fish cake with oyster sauce and a mandarin orange for dinner. Okay, I cheated a little for dinner but I swear I thought I was eating fish tofu! Haha.
I spent the day reading at Borders in Wheelock Place, Orchard. I love that place! It's like a huge library where you can read any books in store. As soon as I get my first paycheck, I promise I'd buy a book from there. I left around 5:30PM because I was getting a bit bored. I headed to White Sands to buy some groceries since Ayn and I weren't able to do that yesterday and we have nothing to eat for dinner. After that, went home to get some rest since I was feeling a bit whoozy from not eating 'real' food the whole day.
I played with Kelsey, Ayn's brother's baby, when I got home because I will really miss her when I start working. She's growing up so fast! Ate Kleng (Kel's mommy) and I took some very cute pictures of her. Isn't she just the sweetest baby?
Anyway, I'll be blogging about a favorite restaurant of mine in my next entry! Keep posted!
