Lemon Chicken Rice @ S$4.50: I had this when my officemates and I had lunch at Mei Hua. This was horrible! The chicken was not crispy and it tasted like it was fried in old oil. The Hainanese Rice did not suit the chicken and there was too little sauce. Very disappointing!
Mr. Bean Grass Jelly @ S$2.20 and Blueberry Pancake @ S$1.20: I wanted Pearly Iced Milk Tea for breakfast one morning but apparently, it opens at 9:30AM so I was too early! I had no choice but to go to Mr. Bean and buy the Grass Jelly Drink and some pancake. The drink was a bit bitter. It needs more syrup! The pancake, however, was still very warm and the blueberry oozes out when bitten. I really liked it!
Thai Smiles' Beef Hofan @ S$4.50: Rej ordered this during one of our lunchouts this week. I think she said this was good!
Thai Smiles' Olive Rice Claypot @ S$4.50: I wanted to order something new besides the noodles and beef so I got this. At first I thought the 'olive' in the name meant real olives, which I don't like. However, Iris said that the 'olive' meant that the meat was cooked in olive oil. Lime was provided with the rice. I mixed everything together and it was good but not spectacular. It reminded me of Beef Teriyaki with Lime.
Marquee's Salmon with Pasta @ S$6.90: Every time someone in the office quits, we have lunch at Marquee. And this was the case when I told my officemates officially that I will be submitting my resignation after lunch (but that's for another entry). I order this almost every visit because their salmon is always cooked perfectly and their cauliflowers are to die for!
McDonald's McSpicy @ S$5.00: I love love love that McDonald's have their weekday lunch value meals! I ordered this because I thought it was like KFC's Zinger but this was waaaayyy spicier! But it still didn't stop me from smothering my fries with Garlic Chili Sauce! Haha.
Long John Silver's Grilled Chicken Meal @ S$6.70: Ayn ordered this last night when Rej, her and I went to Somerset 313 for the first time. This is a staple order when we visit LJS because it's delicious!
Long John Silver's Chicken Fingers with Shrimp Popcorn @ S$6.90: This is the first time that I ordered the meal with the shrimp. They were very fresh! I'm not surprised though as even the frozen shrimps in Singapore taste like they just came out of the water. Haha. The chicken was like any other chicken fingers but their Sweet Chili Sauce helped. :)
