SAM and Botak Jones

The Singapore Art Museum visit was worth the trip! I enjoyed seeing art pieces that I studied back when I was still in college. I was disappointed that Spoliarium wasn't there because the painting that I thought was 'S' was in fact the "Las virgenes Cristianas expuestas al populacho"of Felix Hidalgo. Well, okay, I was not really REALLY disappointed because Hidalgo's painting was also so beautiful!

They also had displays of Manansala, Ang Kiukok, Anita Magsaysay-Ho and many more. For some reason, my camera phone still flashes even though I turned the flash off already; so I had to result to taking videos of the whole thing.

After the museum, we went to Chimes to look around the place because I haven't been there yet. It was very romantic! The ambiance was beautiful and there were a lot of couples having candlelit dinners.

Afterwards, we went to the National Youth Council to eat at Botak Jones. I've been hearing good reviews of that place because of the huge servings, reasonable prices and good quality of food. I'm still on my fast until Sunday so I still can't eat beef, which was too bad because the place boasts of good burger. I ordered their Cajun Chicken Burger instead. The meal costs around S$8.50. It includes two side dishes; I chose Spicy Fries and Coleslaw. To say the least, it was delicious! I couldn't say it's the best burger I've had because it's chicken.. but it's the best CHICKEN burger that I've ever had! Haha. Ayn had their signature Botak Burger with the same side dishes at the same price. The size was smaller than I expected but she said it was really good too!

Going to Orchard to send money to my account today. It's almost the end of the month and I'm sure my credit card bills will be delivered to my house soon. Crap!

I feel so lazy to get up on Saturday! If only I can stay in the whole day.. Oh well, it's bum day tomorrow anyway. Have a great weekend everyone :)

Hospital Cheat Sheets

Hello mommies! Sorry I have been busy trying to balance spending quality time with my baby, the pastry shop @joaniescupcakes and our newly launched online store, Petit Bébé PH.  Check out our IG and FB pages if you have time, @petitbebeph. 😍 Anyway, a lot as been asking about the hospital lists that I made for my delivery so here they are! As some of you might know, I am quite OC about paperwork and I have no pain tolerance so I really wanted to make sure that my doctors did not miss anything about my medical history. I was also confined 3x during my pregnancy. This is why I wanted to make sure that my list is detailed so we could avoid mistakes. Information Sheet This is the information sheet that I made. I consulted my OB prior to my delivery about the things that will be asked during check in/ labor. The text is RED are things you need to fill out on the way to the hospital as you might not have enough time to print them when you start contracting. Birth Plan ...

Eating at Home

Reg and I have been trying to lose weight to better control our sugar intake. We ate out a lot when I was still pregnant so he gained "pregnancy pounds" as well. Haha! I have been going to the supermarket to buy 3 weeks worth of dinners the past 2 months and I have been making weekly menu plans to help us achieve our goal. Honestly, I have always felt lazy to do this menu because the meats available at the grocery varies every week. I tend to buy what looks good so I can't stick to 1 set of menu come marketing time. First, let's start with the supermarket. We are closer to Unimart Greenhills but I feel that prices there are higher and there are times when their stock delivery is delayed. I always end up not being able to buy everything that I need. In order for this menu planning to succeed, I now go to my trusty Landmark Supermarket in Trinoma. I used to shop there when I was still single but I stopped going when I moved after getting married because I hated the ...

Giving Up

There are things in life that makes you want to give up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not currently depressed. 😅 I was out with my mom the other day and chanced upon a dance store. For some reason, I always try to look for a white tutu even when I don't plan to buy one. You see, when I was in Prep-1, I joined a dance program in school. The teacher told us to bring white tutus and white ballet shoes. My parents and I scoured many SM Department Stores but all we could find were pink tutus and shoes. Remember that this was in the 90's so there were limited malls in Metro Manila. The usual next step is to go back to school and tell my teacher that it was impossible to find one, right? Well, that's what all of my classmates did. My parents? Impossible was (and still is) not in their vocabulary. My mom designed and sewed an all-white ballet ensemble just for me! I was the only one who came to class with what the teacher asked us to bring. Everyone else brought pink. And even ...
